Kitten Showcase

Okay, kitten pictures - or rather, mostly video, as kittens don't stay still to have pictures of themselves taken apparently.

Kitten Showcase

It's even got a frickin RSS feed.

I spend some time worrying that there really isn't enough to do in a small flat for a kitten - bearing in mind it'll be a year before I leave this place - but I have a feeling that a paper bag, a goldfish on a string and some plastic bottles to chase around are the kitten equivalent of a World Of Warcraft subscription.

That is pretty close to the most adorable kitten I've ever seen.

In terms of kittenishness I've done pretty well here I think.

Also she's somehow completely litter-trained which is a *huge* bonus.

Fortunately the kitten knows nothing else but it MAY spur you on to get a flat with a garden or at least a catflap next time round?

Cat in a flat

I don't know how to attach pictures to these comments, so I will send you a picture by email for you to attach - if you see fit to do so.

We lived with two cats in a fourth floor, one-bedroomed flat with comfort and convenience - and space for cat wandering and exercise.

The picture shows a ventilated toilet block (cupboard) with two trays and a timed extraction fan leading to the outside. Above that is a sloping cat-ladder leading to the loft above.

One cat (Crumble) was content to laze around: the other (Tom) was more active. He enjoyed pottering about the loft amongst the thermal insulation and stored junk, and also lounging on one or other of the ladder slopes.

Mimi will need more exercise than that. See what you can do with what is available to you.

what a cutie. Enjoy it while it lasts, she'll be a moody adolescent soon enough.

One more warning I forgot: if she shows any signs of nibbling cables, take this seriously. We had to replace my music system, a lamp, and several mobile phone chargers thanks to Alex: he's like a tiny wire stripper.

Never mind the simple toys; those little dynamos jump at things which are not there.

Sometimes I wish they stayed kittens forever.
