MEAT

I woke up this morning with an immense hunger for protein. Tinned fish and seafood sticks have not satiated this, and I don't think eggs will manage to either, so I have written down "MEAT" on my shopping card and will be obtaining some shortly.

The problem is that most of the specimens I see on the streets here are too scrawny to bother with. I could try somebody's terrier, they seem pretty well-nourished, but the dog concerned would then try to eat me back, and that's a potential net meat-consumption deficiency. I might have to settle for going to the butcher's.

You are so organized. I never make shopping lists. I just buy what sounds good at the moment.

and you know what sounds good at the moment?

MEAT

Making a list is much like buying whatever sounds good at the moment, except that you save up things you think sound good beforehand. If I just buy whatever's good I end up with fifty different types of chilli sauce and a basset hound.

Down here no problem - seagull fricassee, seagull pie, seagull mince .... and bigger than most terriers.
