Screening anonymous comments

By the way, I've just turned on screening for anonymous comments; what this basically means is that if you're not logged in with an LJ or an OpenID account nothing will appear until I've confirmed it. Some tit who was banned from Urban75 for sending a whole load of people random abuse over PM has now taken to spamming me (not that I banned him, though I would have if I'd got there first) with comments like
FridgeMagnet is a rouge moderater with a grudge and will be dealth with appropitley
It's always the rouge with these people isn't it? They never mention my mascara. I'm hurt.

Anyway, it's no big deal (I get this occasionally) but it's a bit of a pain in the arse to screen them out by hand, so if you write something without logging in you'll have to wait until I next check my email to see your comment appear.

Worth observing that an OpenID that hasn't validated their email address will be treated as anonymous for screening purposes, because the LJ implementation of OpenID is still using the 1.0 specs and can't validate email addresses automatically—I don't think it can even allow Yahoo and other OpenID2s to be used yet, which is annoying.

Why is rogue such a frequently misspelled word? If it was spelt phonetically instead it wouldn't matter, but rouge just makes no sense at all. Ah well.

I think this one might be pissed already, given some of the stuff he posted, which might explain it in this context.

What? There was drama, and I missed it? (I think you'd look fantastic in mascara. Much better than a pit bull looks in lipstick.)
